What is ponte eiffel?

Ponte Eiffel is an iron bridge located in Alcântara, Lisbon. It was designed by French engineer Gustave Eiffel in collaboration with Portuguese engineer Theóphile Seyrig in 1876 and completed in 1877. The bridge spans the Tagus River, connecting Lisbon to Almada on the other side. At the time of its construction, it was the largest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge is 232 meters in length and 25 meters in height. Ponte Eiffel served as a crucial transportation link between Lisbon and the rest of Portugal until the construction of the 25 de Abril Bridge in 1966. Today, it is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike, offering stunning views of the Tagus River and Lisbon's skyline.
